(oder Haglund-Syndrom) Was ist eine Haglund Exostose?Dabei handelt es sich um eine Formabweichung am Fersenbein und eine Verkalkung am Achillessehnenansatz. Meist begleitet von einer Entzündung der Weichteile. Durch Schuhdruck kann es zu äußerst schmerzhaften Reizerscheinungen kommen, besonders bei Hohlfüßen. Diese äußern sich in messerstichartigen Schmerzen, die plötzlich auftreten können.

Therapiemöglichkeiten bei der Haglundexostose
Eine dauerhafte Besserung läßt sich jedoch nur durch eine Korrektur der Statik erreichen. Das kann zum Beispiel durch Einlagen erfolgen, die eine Umstellung des Fersenbeins bewirken und die an der Achillessehne ziehenden Muskeln entlasten. Mit Kälte- und Wärmeanwendungen sowie Ultraschallbehandlungen (physikalische Therapie) werden ebenfalls gute Ergebnisse erzielt. Sehr erfolgreich kommt auch die Stoßwellentherapie zum Einsatz.
Konservative Behandlung meist mit Erfolg
In vielen Fällen führt die Kombination von speziellen Einlagen mit physikalischen Maßnahmen bereits zum Erfolg. Andernfalls, oder wenn bereits eine nachgewiesene Schädigung der Achillessehne besteht, muss operiert werden.
Arthroskopische Entfernung
Selten sind Stellungskorrekturen des Fersenbeins die einzige
Möglichkeit auf ein langfristig gutes Behandlungsergebnis.
